This case-in-point is about a leading Australian telecommunications and information services company, building and operating telecommunications networks and marketing voice, mobile, internet access and pay television products and services to millions of Australian customers.

As a part of their strategic plan for expansion, they wished to discover the install base of telecom and network providers of their competitors and related technologies within EMEA and APAC. The objective set was of finding out more than 14 various technology infrastructure and corporate variables in more than 1000 target accounts.

For this specific requirement, we deployed Technology Intelligence Agent (TIA) solution which is dedicated to find technology install-base landscape as per customer specific criteria. We discovered multiple technology installed like Telecom/Networking provider, LAN/ WAN communications, VoIP, Hosting/Co-Location, Managed security, voice recording, Contact Centre provider, Managed Network, Managed Backup, Storage, Remote-backup, Cloud Computing, Conferencing Solutions, etc., among others. SMARTe provided installed technology product names as well as versions in use. This provides the client with complete install-base of current technology and priority list of target companies.

Our customer was now equipped with insights on technology install-base with 14 diverse variables and 1000 unique companies. These variables included unique variables like contract expiry, hosting/co-location, Managed Utility Computing, Dedicated Computing, Cloud Computing, etc. Their Sales & Marketing teams were now well equipped to carry out new market expansion campaigns.
